The Design Process

Peabody acquired the site with planning consent and following a limited competition, appointed Pitman Tozer Architects to develop a scheme that improved the level of affordable housing,(from 3% to 21%), the design quality and the buildability of the proposals. These were developed and subject to multiple preapplication meetings with the LLDC and formed a non material amendment application (S96a), which was approved with no further amendments. The completed project now features in the latest LLDC guidance, published 27.02.19, on Design Quality
