The Design Process

Prior to submission of the planning application, CGL, Alliance Planning and WCH have consulted with the Council's Senior Planning Officers and Design Officers. To formal pre-application meetings were held with case officers. Meetings with planning, conservation and operations officers at British Waterways have been held to discuss the proposals and impacts on the canal. The application was submitted in July 2012 and permission achieved in March 2015. In addition, local residents were invited to an exhibition at a local community hall near to the site to discuss the proposals with the design team and WCH.
