Planning History

The scheme received unanimous approval in less than 15 minutes from the LLDC planning committee on 24th November 2015. We undertook several pre-application meetings with the LLDC in the period running up to the planning application submission. The outcome of these, including comments received and actions undertaken, contributed to the successful planning result.

The Design Process

Two sessions of public consultation were held on the 11th and 13th of June 2015. The scheme was well received by both statutory consultees, local residents and community groups with no objections. The LLDC officers and Quality Review Panel praised the scheme during pre-application consultation and they welcome the ambition that Vastint are making both in terms of place making as well as architecture.
