Planning History

The site sits within the London Borough of Camden on the boundary with the City of Westminster, and was previously home to a variety of disused residential buildings including a five storey apartment block, some ancillary car parking and a series of Thames Water utility buildings, connected to the Barrow Hill reservoir directly to the north of the site. Squire and Partners proposals designed a high quality development related to the residential context and appropriate to the sensitive setting adjacent to Primrose Hill.

The Design Process

The development is organised into three pavilions overlooking landscaped garden mews which provide visual relief between each building. A landscaped driveway affords an attractive frontage to the development. Penthouses feature private roof terraces overlooking the park. Internally generous shared spaces include a central entrance reception, timber-lined library spaces with seating niches, and a residents spa with a 20 metre swimming pool, gymnasium, changing, steam and treatment rooms, and seating areas for quiet contemplation.
