The Design Process

Site was previously occupied by disused warehouse. Consented scheme for 27 apartments was approved in 2011, but was unviable. RCKa's application for 38 apartments in March 2014 was recommended for approval by officers following positive pre-application submission, but rejected by planning committee in December 2014 which expressed concerns about a later-living development being located in the centre of the town rather than on the periphery. The Inspector disagreed, and an appeal was allowed in October 2016 following a hearing in September.
