The project emerged out of a series of events held by Winchester City Council working with Kings Worthy Parish Council to identify an additional housing site through the LPP2 process. HAB was initially appointed by the landowner to promote Lovedon Fields, which successfully gained the support of the City and Parish Councils as well as local residents. Planning permission was granted in January 2016 ' prior to the site's formal allocation in WCC's LPP2 - following a unanimous decision by WCC's Planning Committee.
