The Design Process
A design strategy was discussed at the outset of the design process to establish the key issues which would need to be addressed. As the design was progressed, monthly pre-application meetings were held to review massing, materials, highways and policy issues. This enabled the application to be quickly validated and subsequently unanimously approved in September 2014. Committee members praised the scheme for the quality of the community engagement, its high quality design, as well as the very ambition and vision of the project.
