Due to the required high density of the extra care scheme on a
challenging site, formal and informal meetings were held to discuss the
proposal with the London Borough of Lewisham planning department
in December 2013 followed by an amended scheme being presented
at the LBL Design Review Panel on Feb 2014. Finalised design
proposals were successfully steered through planning despite some
local objections, with the planning application submitted in July 2014 and
consent obtained in January 2015.
