Numerous meetings were held with Waltham Parish Council, Jonathan
Hendry Architects and Snape Properties to discuss the proposals with
the local residents.
In response to the comments made by Waltham Parish Council and the
local residents; the following amendments were made to the proposed
application:-
- Access road widened to 5 metres.
- Double garage has been split into two singles.
- A hipped roof has been introduced to dwelling type 5.
- Dwelling type 1 is to incorporate a green roof.
- Additional trees are proposed to the rear of the site to screen the
proposed development from the rear.
- Sleeping policeman proposed to main entrance.
- Tactile rumble strips either side of entrance to slow down cycle traffic
at development entrance.
- Dwelling types 4 & 5 moved approximately 500mm off South West
Boundary
- Introduced 750mm rainwater drain which in the event of a heavy storm
will ensure that water will only run into the mains drains at an
agricultural rate.
Following the above mentioned process, planning permission was
granted for the proposed development in July 2009.
Jonathan Hendry Architects consulted with NELC planning department
throughout the application.
