For ABA's scheme
For ABA’s scheme at Ely Court and Lifshutz Davidson’s at Well’s and
Cambridge Court a joint exhibition launched the initial consultation and
communicated the emerging designs. Resident design workshops
then highlighted particular concerns - mitigation of anti-social behaviour
and provision of new private space being foremost. We were able to
use these to inform the design - for example negotiation of public and
private space allocation, car parking provision, play space location as
well as answer queries on space standards and materiality. The London
Borough of Brent Regeneration team, as commissioner of this project
up to planning and master developer, has safeguarded the quality of
the scheme through the construction process. Residents have made
personal journeys to the council offices to thank the regeneration team
for their wonderful new homes.
