The Design Process

The scheme was submitted for detailed planning in 2012 after five years of working closely with Peabody and the London Borough of Wandsworth to achieve a planning application which met the aspirations of Peabody’s ‘21st century Peabody’ document.
The site is abutted by two conservation areas and a busy railway line. The scheme has been designed to respond to the surrounding historic context, without being pastiche, and the positioning of the buildings onsite mitigates the noise created by the passing trains.
