Brooklands Square is envisaged as a vibrant and busy mixed use local centre that is central to a new neighbourhood. The square will be the first point of arrival for most visitors to Brooklands, and the heart of this new local community. The square’s facilities will serve the daily needs of local residents, encouraging more sustainable shopping habits and providing significant additional retail, commercial, residential, recreational and community elements to enhance the Brooklands development as a whole.

The development is connected to a formal public open space, Cook’s Place, via the pedestrianised Market Lane and Cooks Place links directly to Lautier Park which will provide recreational facilities including a playground and multi-use games area.

Planning History

Milton Keynes Council approved a reserved matters application for Phase 2 of Brooklands Square in February 2017.

The development was considered at an outline level as part of the conditional hybrid planning application for Brooklands that was approved in August 2007.
