This is an enclosed urban site without ground floor level outdoor space. The apartments are all dual or triple aspect with duplex apartments to the upper two floors. Private balconies of varying sizes are designed for all the apartments on all the floors.
Dukelease acquired the site in 2009, fully aware of a previous application which had been refused. They therefore engaged with the Council, local community groups and English Heritage before submitting a new application. The project took seven years to bring to fruition, from purchase in 2009 to planning consent in 2012 and completion in 2016.
